2027 Mission Letter
Mission Dates: January 29 – February 6, 2027
Thank you for your interest in joining our mission of healing and hope in rural Guatemala. We are deeply moved by the response to this year's call to service. We are currently focused on building our clinical team, including Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Medical Assistants, Nurses, Dentists, Hygienists, Dental Assistants, and Pharmacists.
Your professional expertise is a vital lifeline for the families of La Democracia, who often have little to no access to primary healthcare. We strive to love the poor as Jesus taught His disciples: "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me" (Matthew 25:40).
Serving in rural Guatemala requires a spirit of flexibility and hard work. We often serve in challenging conditions to reach remote communities, but the work is deeply fulfilling. Our mission is grounded in prayer, daily Mass, and spiritual direction from our mission chaplains, which are central to our life as a missionary team.
The mission participation fee is $700, which covers your local lodging, meals, and transportation within Guatemala; please note that missionaries are also responsible for their own airfare. You do not need to make any purchases during the initial application stage. Our leadership team will review all applications and notify you of your status no later than July 17, 2026. If you are accepted on the mission team, you will proceed to paying the mission fee and purchasing airfare.
If you are interested in joining our mission team, please complete the application below.
God bless you,
The Corazón de Cristo Leadership Team
